In my work with clients over the past twenty years, I have seen how trauma presents itself in some cunning ways. Blasts of anxiety, having ‘out of proportion’ reactions to events and situations. 

A good example of this, is if someone had a violent home life as a child, they tend to be controlling of their environments as an adult and make difficult flat mates! 

Being British we tend to down play everything, that ‘Keep Calm and carry on’ attitude may have worked during a time of trauma, however, once the trauma has past healing must begin. The ONLY way to heal ANYTHING is truth. 

Yes, truth is subjective, and yet until you look at your story and that the power it had over you away, real healing doesn’t stand a look in.
