So, I’ve been thinking this for some time. We know that our systems are not balanced. The rich/poor divide depends. We can’t ignore climate change and pretend it’s not happening. Then there was Brexit… ok, let’s not go there. And just when you think it’s safe to go back onto Facebook, the coronavirus thing happens.

This TEDx film highlights the bigger picture, well worth a watch. https://youtu.be/Fqw-9yMV0sI

Even though it might look like we are going to hell in a handbag, I want to put this to you. Society was already not working. The fact that these imbalances are now effecting everyone, that we need to think about health globally and not just locally, and that you can’t buy your way out of this, means to me we have heading for a radical shift of consciousness. One that I expect could lead to a utopia.

‘Imagine a world’ (I couldn’t resist!) where we were kind. Kind to animals, kind to the planet, kind to each other, shared resources, put nature first.

Imagine if we stopped thinking ‘survival of the fittest’ and realised that the only way we will survive is collaboration. That we re-wilded and tree planted out a way to not only a sustainable but also a joyous way of life.

I’m not saying this will be easy or quick. What I am saying, is if you are feeling that this is all just a bit too much, what’s the point of getting out of bed, we are ‘doomed doomed I say’. Think again. Be a positive part of this radical change and do what you can do.
